About me
I love watching my clients shoulders relax and faces soften as we get into our session-because they’re feeling comfortable and confident, I love being witness to small moments that often go unseen, undocumented, I love hearing tiny giggles because everyone in front of me has forgotten about the world around them and is fully submerged in the moment, I love sitting looking at your images on my screen unable to hold back a grin because I can literally feel that moment, I love reading your texts after you’ve opened your gallery - “I’m laughing and crying all at the same time, I’m going to treasure these forever” or “holy shit that’s me?! I feel so beautiful”, I love knowing that in 5 years as you drop your baby off to their first day of school you’ll sit in the parking lot looking at their newborn photos on your phone remembering exactly how they smelt pressed against your chest, in 20 years when your kids walk through the door on the holidays - everyone gathered on the couch flipping through old photos - telling stories of the past, laughing and pausing because they remember those moments and feel completely flushed with a wild sense of gratefulness and love for their life.
I don't just love taking photos...
I'm a photographer & business owner. I'm also a mother. And a wife. And a friend. I'm also just, Heather. I love a good pair of sweats and I also love a nice booty fitting pair of jeans with a body-suit. I shop organic and clean beauty products but I also love some fast-food french fries. We are all multi-faucted and it fuels my soul to document women in such a way. I'll get to document you growing life, looking fierce AF and sexy as hell and then I get to capture your softness soaking in the first days with a babe in your arms. I get to document you in heels and a matching suit set, because you're smart as hell and killing your industry and then document you rolling in grass giggling with two little humans. Because you are more, and each part of you deserves to be seen in the light you bring to the world.

I take photographs during the deep breaths between moments of pandemonium -- the sleepless mother rocking her newborn, the business owner juggling infinite hats, the growing family jumping from couch cushion to couch cushion. Different seasons of life can be complex, filled with chaos and beauty all inter-twined and our hearts can ache to hold onto them.
My mission is to peel back the ideas we have about what photos sessions should look like and start creating them based on how you want to be seen and how you want your memories to be felt. So that when you look through at your images for the 1st time or the 100th , you laugh, smile, and maybe tear up a little remembering exactly how you felt at that moment.
And because sometimes having our photos taken can feel hella intimidating... I help make it easy-breezy too.

It is quite impossible for me to pick a lane and honestly, I'd probably get bored if I did. The variety and creativity of photographing different people in different seasons & avenues, in different ways, FUELS ME. Are you next?

My husband and I met while both on vacation in San Diego. We met at a bar, went our separate ways when Instagram brought us back together. We did long distance for a short 5 months before I packed my bags and moved to WA -the rest is history!

The most beautiful, yet challenging, growth-filled job I've ever had... and I'm in the thick of it. I have 2 beautiful daughters, 5 & 2 and a handsome little dude we welcomed spring of 2024.

I've been photographing families, small business owners, and weddings for 10 years. 4 part-time, and then I moved to WA and when my daughter was born made the leap to full-time and never looked back!
